Giant Tetris

Imagine mixing container, hospitality and sustainability. The result of this sum is the TetrisHostel, located in Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná. Conceived by the duo of architects Karin Nisiide and Carlos Eduardo Salamanca, the place abuses creativity and colors, provides a comfortable environment and is considered the largest hostel-container in the world.

With reference to one of the most popular games, Tetris was created based on the concept of connecting people and different ideas. This allusion is also clear in its architecture, which includes 15 containers of various colors and different fittings, allowing new forms to be created.

Investment in sustainable measures is also a plus. The project used containers reused for its work, it has green roof, which reduces the internal temperature, solar heaters to heat water and reduce energy consumption, recycled furniture, LED lighting, rainwater usage among others.
